Yum yum yum! What an afternoon of delicious food, wine and sunshine on their terrace. We had the cod fritters, great! Then the clams, even better and finished it off sharing the rice with monkfish. Everything was delicious. Service fantastic, and atmosphere was quaint and delightful. So lucky to grab a spot here. Not sure why it isn’t 5 star rated, yet! ;)

Lovely relaxed feel. We ate here 3 times in 3 days - the food was fantastic and the service superb. We would go back to Viana do Castelo just to have another meal here!

We had the most amazing dinner. We shared the cheese & tomato appetizer, the wild rice and vegetable entree and the grilled sea bass entree. Also shared a bottle of the local white wine. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. I believe the owner was our waiter and I think his mother is the chef. Dessert was the orange pudding. The service was nicely spaced between courses. Prices are very moderate. A wonderful variety on the menu. Treat yourself and go to the Restaurante Asturia - you will not regret it.

We ordered the cheese and tomatoes, the fishcakes, the sea bass, the octopus, the prawns and the calamari. For dessert, an orange pudding. These were all fresh and quality ingredients, and the portions are generous. The cooking was simple but well done; I particularly liked the prawns in a garlic sauce, the fish cakes and the pudding. There's jazz music in the background and the service is friendly. Would recommend.

I went around 18:30 for an early dinner and it was fairly quiet, there were plenty of tables available. The gentleman greeting me was very nice and polite, spoke very good English and I heard him speaking French to other guests. The food was amazing, the cheese and tomato starter with bread and olives was very tasty and presented very well. The grilled calamari was excellent, it was fresh, with plenty of vegetables and baked potatoes. The house white wine great, even though I'm not a big wine drinker, I really enjoyed it and it went well with the main. I was also pleasantly surprised that the 7.50 for the wine on the menu means for a bottle, as I paid only 2 for a glass. The orange pudding was very pleasant, it had a bitter caramel sauce on it which completed the sweet orange flavour.Lastly, great coffee!I think the prices are very reasonable, 23.80 for starter, main, desert, wine and coffee is very good, especially if I compare it the London prices that I'm used to.I wholeheartedly recommend the place!

What a terrific experience on my pass-through while on the Camino. Your restaurant was night #3 for me on the walk north from Porto and your hospitality, kindness, and great food was just what I needed at the end of a 33km day of walking. I so enjoyed our conversation, meeting your family, and partaking in a terrific meal and wine that you hand picked for me. I've shared your restaurant with others and I'll surely be back as life would have it. All the best and success, BARRETT

I just had a wine there, but looking to other tables where people were having dinner, I noticed that food is good quality and the portions are really fair.
